getting rid of multiple messenger popups?

hi

i had a power outage and now ive got notification messages - hundreds of them on each server. i cant get rid of them. ive tried restarting the messenger service and i even rebooted one of the servers - no luck. anyone got any idea how i can get rid of these messages?
