I'm creating a graphic for my web page using PhotoPaint 8.

I have a graphic where the top half is white and the
bottom have is mauve. The white area is wavey at the
bottom where it meets the mauve.

How do I get rid of the jagged edges between the two
colors?

I've tried smoothing the edges and it still looks bad
and also added a drop shadow (not good now I have jagged
edges with a drop shadow).

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you create this graphic in Photopaint, or receive it from another source?

Generally, the way I smooth things is:

1. create the original graphic at about 200% or 300% the size I will want in the end.

2. add whatever dropshadows and special effects I want

3. Merge all floating objects, etc...

4. Re-sample the final graphic down by 50% or 33% to get the final size, making sure to check the "Anti-alias" box.

5. Add just a touch of "Directional Sharpen", to give the graphic a little more punch. -------------------
