Getting rid of an Attendant_user

The old admin left a mess (isn't that always the way).
We had another location w/a receptionist that would do some operator fucntions.

The building is gone, and the attendant is gone as well. I wish to remove the ext from the switch, however it keeps giving me an error

Using rem att Y it shows: Group must be taken out of night service before removal/change

How do I get it out of night service?

The attendant is still in the trunk groups for incoming destination or night service destination.

Remove attd from the trunk groups. and then see what happens.

do not forget to put some other extension in its place though.

Hmmm.
Well, when I did disp att Y it showed Group:3
I assume that is the trunk group to which it belongs?

It also shows port: X (courtesy the aforementioned admin)
When I disp tru 3 it shows only port numbers, code, sfx on pgs 4-10.

Any suggestions?
Also, if the building is gone, would I need to replace that 2ndary ext, if all recptionist duties are being handled by the main operator?

I forgot. You need to take the system or tenant group out of night service and make sure that the ATTD is not in any trunk group form for incoming or night service destination.

Also in order to take the group or system out of night service, add a night-serv button to your station and when lit, press it to make the button light go out. Then remove the attendant, press the button again so it is lit and then remove it from your station.

If tenant partitioning is turned on in your switch the night-serv button may require the group number.

Try this and see if it works for you.
