I am trying to import a table from our accounting system into Access 2000. I do this everyday from the same data file in our accounting system for reporting purpose.

Today I tried it, as my daily routine, and am getting an "Invalid Arguement" while in the importing process. Any suggestions why it is doing this?

Richard,

Please don't expect us to know your database inside and out without giving us a bit of a hint.

How do you do the import? What code do you use? What sql? Has anything changed in either your database or the accounting system?

There are tons of people here who want to and can help you, but not with so little information.

Please post in the appropriate forum with a descriptive subject; code and SQL, if referenced; and expected results. See thread181-473997 for more pointers.

I am importing a MAS200 GL datafile into Microsoft Access 2000. I then run reports off of the new Access table becuase it is faster than access info and proccesing it over our network. I am importing using the file menu in Access to import (File:Get External Data:Import) and hit our MAS200 ODBC.

After a while, I just ran the Access repair utility "Compact and Repair Database" under the Tools:Database Untilities menu. That fixed it. So I am not sure what happened unless the Access DB became corrupt.

Thanks,
Richard
