how can i fix the problem?

What's the speed of your processor? DSL usually requires at the very least a 266Mhz processor with 128mb of memory. (Of course, this depends a lot on your provider.)

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

thanks for your replay
my computer is an IBM THINKPAD T21 with 512MB memory and P3 800 MHZ.
this problem is not associated to the provider.

Um, I doubt that will help several months after the fact... But nice effort.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

hi alushm;
thanks for replying;
i personally don't like to d/l and install things till I know exactly what they are (especially EXE files -- at the least many ZIP d/ls contain a ReadMe.txt file) - so perhaps a "link" to the page explaining what the patch is and does and other info related would be helpful. Note; info detailing uninstalling things/patches is just as important to know.

I know how to find the info necessary from the filename and Q# it's linked to...however others visiting may not.
In case anyone's interested ...it's a NDIS driver Hot-Fix (released in April 2000) - detailed here;
