getting linux certified

I would like to know whats a good linux certification to go after I've seen the linux+ and also the redhat certs.
 
Do people even respect the linux+ cert from comptia. I will look into that redhat though.
 
... and check the comments on this certification page : people disagree that the only good certs are the microsoft and cisco ones.

I mean, there's only 1 unixy cert on that list.

I took the RH9 RHCE exam last June. I put a write up on it at I couldn't go into too much detail because of the NDA, but if you have the experience it shouldn't be an issue. I took both the LPI and the RHCE and I definitely studied more for the LPI because it was a bit more arcane in questions. For RHCE I could rely on personal experience.
 
I myself was interested in the LPI certification, since it is non-distribution specific. And let's face it, appart from knowing what's the name of the special magic program for configuring things on distribution Z , most of the stuff is mostly the same.
