getting details of network printers in logoff mode (WINNT & Win2000)

I need to know why I cannot read the registry to get network printers when running a program as a service (logoff mode)

Because information about network printers is user specific and stored in HKLM\CURRENT_USER\... and your service just can't get access to users' registries. Maybe i am wrong, but that's what come to my mind first.
