Getting db value 1

Not sure I know how to describe this, but here goes...

OK - I have a stored precedure that returns a record set... All I want to do is take the value from one field and apply it to a redirect (ie Response.Redirect("page.aspx?id="+recset["field"])

I can get as far as put the recordset into a sqlreader, but I am not sure where to go from there?

Loop through your reader (faq855-5662), assign the value to a variable and then issue a Response.Redirect and pass in that variable as the querystring

I am developing in VS and it is not recognizinf Item as a member of SqlDataReader. WWhat am I doing wrong?
