Getting data out of privateData

Hello

I am using TSAPI server and CSTA. I need to get entered digits and can see them in privatedata.data - I just convert the hex values to ASCII.

I found that after hex value 6 my entered digits follow. (There are six entered digits - so 6 may just mean number of entered digits). But I am sure there is a more efficient and robust method of finding the entered digits. Is there a function or functions for extracting eg entered digits from the privateData? What is the best way?
