Hi !

I need to develop a tool which detects when a message is delivered or opened on outlook / express and asks to the user if he wants to save the content in a database.

What ios the besst way to do it ?

I thought about opening the outlook as an ole object and extract the info when it happens. Is it the best way ?=???

You could create a link to outlook from access. It will create a table in Access. (File, Get External Data, Link) Choose Outlook as the source and then pick the Outlook folder that contains the emails you want to link to.

Be aware that instead of Outlook, Outlook Express is NOT scriptable and don't support OLE automation.

Hope This Help, PH.
