Getting Application Error...Need Help Quickly!!

I'm getting the:

HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

error when trying to access one of my applications that is critical to our company. I have never seen this error before.

Any help on fixes or workarounds?????

Can happen when page is not named Default.Asp, Default.Htm etc and somehow the specified "Default" has changed.

But I have all of the Default Document types enabled. I even tried adding default.aspx to the directory and then accessing it through localhost/DRS/default.aspx and it still did not work.

Any other ideas???

What does the IIS log file say. What can't it find.

I just fixed that error. Now I am getting the error that says to set customErrors mode="Off" in the web config file to see a detailed version of the error. Eventhough customErrors mode is already set to off!!!

Our server has been acting crazy today after the IT Director installed some updates last night.

Any ideas?

just a few things if you browse on the server you can see more details of the debug. Also, in your code you say"

just to make sure, the web.config file is XML and XML is case sensitive. so if your are already set to "off" you are not already set to "Off"
