I used the wizard to create a new add-in. The 1st time I created the project and ran it, the add-in loaded into a vb ide and gave me a menu selection for it under the tools menu.

The 2nd time, I added code to show a form when the add-in was clicked, then re-ran the project, but got no addin. It showed up in the available add-ins, but no add-in was in the tools menu.

I tried several things, even recreating the project, but no luck.

How do you get add-ins to work in .net?

Most likely, just right click in a grey area in your toolbox...

Say "Customize Toolbox"

and find your project in there on one of the tabs... if there's something that can go in the toolbox, then it will show on the list, and anything in the project you select that can go on the toolbox will... once you select it.

Don't forget if you created the control it will not show up and you need to browse for it to add it to the list first. [peace]
