Get unbound field from form into a query.

I have an unbound form on a query that keeps a running
total of points entered. The field is called TotalPoints.
How can I get that field from the form into a query? How
to I call the field in the query?

I meant to say that I have an unbound field on a query that
keeps a running total, not unbound form.
