This is a totally cosmetic issue but asthetics are very important in my opinion. Problem: The little lines that come up when using Freeze Panes. Solution: I havent a clue. If you guys... or gurlz have some ideas for workarounds or whatever, Post It Here! =D I would love to know and it could rid the world of ugly spreadsheets forever!

Thanks,
Tweek

Those lines are there so that you can see where the edges of the panes are. I don't think there's any provision for changing that for people who think it's ugly ( you are the first I've come across, ever! ).

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

Well... I figured as much, however as I understand the purpose of the lines, in my world of perfection (which is odd becuse I use excel every day of my life) they are far more bothersome than practical... At least for me...But i'm kinda weird.

I apologize for the lameness of this thread. =D

ActiveWindow.FreezePanes = True

Hope This Helps, PH.

Sorry PHV... but the problem is not getting the FreezePanes to work its getting rid of the reference lines that show up as a result of using FreezePanes.

On a plain spreadsheet I could understand the use of the ref-lines; but my sheets are often very decorative and visually pleasing. By using graphics colors and built-in tools I can more effectively define the working parts of the spreadsheets; hence the ref-lines just end up looking funny. Kind of like I forgot to take the borders off of a bunch of cells...I guess im just a nitpick... =D
