Get Printer Mailbox status?

Hello...

We use HP LaserJet 8100 printers with 8 bin mailboxes.

I already use API's to retrieve printer/job status etc but need to get individual mailbox status i.e. empty, not empty or full. These properties must be available as the printer knows when a mailbox is full and there are switches on the output trays - but I can't find a way to get this information.

HP have been less than helpful so I hope someone can help.

Any ideas, tips, pointers or solutions welcome.

Search (or use index) of your help file and look up the API GetPrinter. This will lead you to a whole lot of infomation on controlling a printer. At the bottom of this help file you should see links to "Printing and Print Spooler Overview" and "Printing and Print Spooler Function". Those are some very good places to start along with this API.
