Hello, I need to extract the oldest date from two columns of dates that are formatted as 02/18. I would like to have a formula to do this. Thanks Tessa
Try this:
=min(A:B) where your data is in columns A and B - adjust as needed.
This works because of how Excel sees dates. Every date is stored as a whole number - the number of days since 1/1/1900. Today is 38401. Yesterday was 38400, which is less that today's number. Get it?
Post back with any questions.
