When I dial this number from the G3si V8.2 I get dead air.
If I call it from a cell phone – no problem.
The # is 707-434-xxxx

Can anybody help figure out why this happens?

Thank you.

Do other calls go out and work on this same route? try hitting # to tell the carrier you are done? What type of trunk is it?

Open a trouble ticket with your carrier and have them do a software trace to see what is happening in the network. The problem may not be in your switch.

Agree with Rockspop, most likely a carrier issue. This sounds like a typical "number ported out, but existing carrier still has it built in their switch". So, the Cell phone gets the number because it looks up the port, and is directed correctly. Your PBX is built on the same CO Switch, so it gets dead air. Or, your CO Switch isn't doing a lookup on it. Good Luck!

Thank you all for your help!
As you guys said, it was a carrier issue.
They fixed it and everybody is happy now.

Thanks again.
