Hello all,

I'm trying to setup an Geographic Redundant Survivable Media Gateway Release 6.0.

For some reason the the IP phones do not get redirected to the main site. Database replication and MGC registration is working just fine. The only problem I currently have is that the phones do not get redirected.

I've setup the HLOC in LD 15, set AC2 to LOC in LD 15. Added the HLOC code the to NRS Private level 1 regional (UDP location code) and added all the extensions (Leading digit :)) to the CDP (Private level 0 regional (CDP steering code))

When I look in the NRS log files I see the following messages: gkvcppm ncsd[32281]: ncsMsgLookup:682 src=gkwcppm DN=1007339 not found

Could someone tell me what I did wrong? And if you need more info please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Yes the phone sets S1 is set to the SMG site and S2 is set to the Main site.

The phones are registering to the SMC site and the SMC is trying to redirect them to the main office, but for some reason the NRS can't find the DN...

Hi, you do not need to add IP extension to the nrs.
Add 1-9 cdp privat level 1

LD 90
NET
AC1
HLOC XX
DMI XX

LD 86
DGT
DEL XX
ISPN no
CTYP NCHG

Meridian, Callpilot, CCM (Symposium) from Germany

That's what I said in my message.

and added all the extensions (Leading digit :)) to the CDP (Private level 0 regional (CDP steering code))

are the both endpoints gateways (SMG and Main site ) registred correclty to the NRS..??

Have you check that the NCS is checked and in service ?

The SMG need to generate (AC1/AC2 + HLOC + DN =NUID) to redirect the IP Phones to the main..

how many Sig Server are you using on this solution?
and how Node IP is configured ?

Hi Mouderhem,

Thank you for your reply.

Both sites are registered to the NRS and NCS is enabled (In service). The SMG is generating the NUID. The NUID is: 1007213 1007 is the HLOC and 213 is the DN of the set. The messages I see in the NRS log file are:

Code:
gkvcppm ncsd[15701]: ncsMsgLookup:682 src=gkwcppm DN=1007213 not found
gkvcppm ncsd[15701]: ncsMsgLookup:682 src=gkwcppm DN=1007396 not found

I've added the HLOC (1007) as a UDP entry in the NRS and added 2 as a CDP. Route cost 1 to the main route cost 2 to the SMG.

I've got 2 TPS servers (Main and SMG) and 2 NRS (Primary on main and Alternate on the SMG).

Both sites have the same node id (11)

Hello all,

I've been playing with the system and when I add the NUID manually using the DN the set is being redirected to the main site.

Nice to know that this works but it isn't an option to configure all the sets with a fixed NUID since it should be generated automatically.

Hi, you have to delete 4 digits ( HLOC 1007) in DGT

LD 90
NET
AC1
HLOC 1007
DMI XX

LD 86
DGT xx
DEL 4
ISPN no
CTYP NCHG

Meridian, Callpilot, CCM (Symposium) from Germany

Hi M1spezi,

I changed the DMI to delete 4 digits but it's still trying to find 1007xxx.

I've also searched the NTP's but didn't find any reference to what you are saying.

But thanks for the suggestion!!

Ok I just removed the HLOC from the main and SMG site and my test sets is registering on the main...

I'm not onsite atm so cannot confirm that everything is really ok, but from remote it looks ok now...
