The Genesys CTI group is asking me to perform a CTI LINK trace on the PBX side to see why the PBX is returning:

code_std_loc = 1(CCITT_PubNetLocUsr) cause = 43(C_PERM_DENIED)

in their logs... Calls do seem to be routing correctly and no problems have been reported otherwise. Apparently this has been happening for some time.

Any ideas? I don't believe there even an option on the MapD board itself.

Network sniffer? Any suggestions? Have any of you performed a CTI trace? Please explain if so.

Thanks,

Wildcard

The specific cause code means that permission checks for the service requested have failed.

You're adjunct may be making requests for a station, where the COR of the station, is insufficient to complete the call/connection.

Cisco's web page helpfully lists the Definity CTI cause code and their associated meanings. You would also find them in the ASAI manual.

Oh! And you might also check to see if the there is a BCC mismatch.

Trying to start a 'data' bearer call to a 'voice' destination would return a similar response.

dufus2506,

Thanks for your replies, for the life of me I'm not associating the Acronym BCC with anything. Can you please tell me what it stands for? I'm sure it's going to be a Doh moment on my part.

I'll check out that website you suggested.

The CTI boys seem to think the error message occurs when a call disconnects.

Thanks,

Bearer Capability Class.

It determines the type of ISDN call being made.

If, for example, the adjunct is launching calls that are classed as 'data 56K', (BCC of 1) they would only be allowed to terminate at a data endpoint. If they dialed an endpoint that is classified as 'voice' (BCC 0), then the call would be refused.

Make sure that the adjunct is assigning a BCC of 0 for any voice calls launched.
