Generating Screens in Fox Pro 2.6 1

When you go to the Top Menu | Program | Generate which Foxpro desktop window is Active (title bar Blue)?
If your new screen is Open in your Foxpro desktop, but not Active, the Generate will be visible but "grayed out". Look to see if your Command window or another non-screen window has its title bar Blue.
Use your mouse to click into the new screen's window (turning the screen window's title bar Blue) prior to going to Generate.

Try the command CLOSE ALL before opening your screens, just in case.

Check to make sure that you are "pointing" at a valid GenScrn. Try:
?_genscrn
If it doesn't return a valid path to GENSCRN.PRG, you won't be able to generate an .SPR file.
I always include an explict reference in my CONFIG.FP file. e.g.:
_GENSCRN="L:\APPS\FPD26\GENSCRN.PRG"
