Generating a horizontal report not a vertical one

I want to be able to generate a report that expands laterally rather than vertically ( a bit like a MS Project Plan).

I have a number of staff members and lots of dates, I want to be able to expand across the page for as many staff members are selected, and for the list of consecutive dates to go down the page.

Anyone got any ideas ?
