Hi All,

I recently install Visual Studio .Net and the SQL Server 2000 onto XP Pro. The SQL Server installation gave my PC some strange errors and to overcome this rebuild was necessary. From a friend I was told to Install SQL Server first which I have done...

My concern is being completely new to SQL Server and .Net so I’m concerned that I have overlooked something causing me to spending more time sorting set-up problems rather than developing anything. After coming to terms with the scale of Visual Studio the on-line resources it is difficult to know the terminology of what I’m looking for.
I would like to use Stored Procedures in SQL Server is it possible to link these to my form through a Wizard?? So I can scroll & search through my records without using recordsets?

The aim of the build is to build a SQL Server database with 13 tables connecting to a VB front-end the system is required to use a IPAQ (in C#) to update the database through IIS using SQL Server CE.
If I base the general form part of the build on Common Language Runtime part of the .Net framework will I be able to interact my IPAQ development in C# with the VB section?
Finally is it possible on top of this to create a website in ASP.net that is based on some of the SQL Server database?

If all of this is possible I’m converted!!

What I would like to know is; are there any past experiences or resources that the members of this forum can pass on so I learn faster or from my simple description of my idea if there are any flaws in my plan?

Many Thanks
