Fellow techs-
My customer has a demarc brought in from At&t and purchased a router.. They would like it connected so I'd like to assess what cables will be necessary:
From the demarc (T1 connection).. the cable I'll need to connect to the routers T1 port should be : straight? or crossover?? not sure..
I know from the router's ethernet port i.e- e0/0, I should use a straight Cat 5 going to a catalyst switch.. (unless I'm wrong, please correct me with the proverbial slap on the head!) Generally, I've seen other vendors somtimes supply guys like us with the proper cable coming from the T1 CSU/DSU demarc box hung on wall, but sometimes they don't
thx to all!
