GDM-17E21 Monitor

Does anyone have or work with a GDM-17E21 monitor? It is a Silicon Graphics Monitor that contains a Sony Trinitron tube inside it. I bought it and was told it is PC Compatible, but so far I can only make it work at one resolution and that's at 2048x1024. I am running a Voodoo3 2000 AGP card in my system and whenever it boots up all I hear is clicking until it gets to the Windows GUI. Is there any way that I can get this monitor to work with this card or will I need to buy a card that has Sync rates that are compatible with the monitor?
