GDK-16 Configuration

Hi, Sorry, I am very new to all of this, I have a GDK-16 with a LKD-30D and a LKD-8DS attached, using a 2 line ISDN conection, It is all fully setup (hardware wired) due to the fact it was configured several years ago by a company, but last week our ROM chips got damaged, I have replaced them but dont know how to programme the system. The company the programmed it all last time want to charge about £1000 to do the job again.

Is there a manual for doing this??

I am extremely competent at configuring different type of systems, but I just need a better understanding of this to sort it. I do hope someone can help.

Hi doktor,
Thank you for the site recomendation, unfortunatly it only has the GDK manuals in Spanish not english, The GDK 20 is in English, Are te two systems very similar?

There are two most important things I want the system to do -

First of all, Station 100 is the only phone that rings, I would like both stations to call.

Second, We have a dect phone system installed, I would like that to be included when the phones ring.

Hi!

The two systems (GDK-16 and GDK-20) are equal to program.
It is not very easy to program these systems, if you are not famililar with GDK systems.
Try to search here in this forum to see the info posted.
The mentioned web page has a lot of good info.
If it in Spanish I use the Google Translator to help me understand.

Looking through the forums, I found a previous post where you talked through how to set up all the phones to ring, so thank you for that previous advice to another man in need!!

I do have one problem which is that the DECT phones can not dial out, they can answer calls fine though! There is also an echo on them when using them on the recieved calls.

Did you initialize the GDK-20W first?

It is necessary to do that, but it will wipe out your database!

Initialization of the database is done in MENU1 (point 1 to 12), and if it hasn't been done, then there are always problems with DECT (no handover and noise etc).

Try to initialize the GDK-20W. Do not reuse any back-up where initialization of the database has been forgotten.
