GD module 1

Hi there
I'm just wondering how to install GD in windows xp? i was using window 98 and was able to install it ok but not in windows XP. The following is what I got

C:\ppm
ppm> install GD
Error: PPD for 'GD.ppd' could not be found.

I've spent a lot of time searching on google and download a lot of files like GD.pm GD. ppd and things ending with .tar or .tar.gz etc
I guess I also got confused between different platforms.
I also realized that GD is no longer available @ ActiveState PPM Repositories (

http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Downloads/ActivePerl/PPM/Repository).

The alternative link it provides (

http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppms/GD.ppd)

is not working either.

Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Hey!

What perl version are you using?

I am using Perl V 5.8.0 on Windows 2000 and I have this module. Also it run on 5.6 on windows XP.

Check it:

perl -v

Also, you could go to

http://www.cpan.org,

search for it and download to the pc. Do try to make a "manual istallation"

I have installed it on Windows XP + perl 5.6.1 .
