GBIC Problem using a 3524 XL switch

Hi!!

I am trying to connect a GBIC cooper module to a 3524XL switch. However, I do not get negotiation between the GBIC port and the device connected to the other end.

I am using IOS 12.0(5.4)WC(1).

Do you think it could be an IOS problem?

Any recomendation!!

Have you tried updating to the latest IOS version?

Hi

What is the NIC in the other device? Intel at least have had driver issues in cases like this.
Also fix whatever you can so that there is no need for negotiation.
