Does anyone know what brand motherboards Gateway uses for its Select series of AMD Socket A computers. I have a friend at school who just ordered one and I was curious what brand if any they use. I hope for his sake that it is not some generic or proprietary board. The configuration he chose was actually pretty good; T-Bird 950Mhz, SB Live-Value, 128MB PC-133, 32MB Geforce2 MX, 45GB 7200RPM ATA-100 hardrive, 16XDVD, 10X4X32 CD-RW. He wants to overclock it using the conductive pen trick. Thats why I wanted to know the brand, to see its overclockability, if it even has any. Thanks much, PC compadres!!

I belive it is a Generic, or Gateway Custom made board, thats why I dont normally touch brandname PCs, I build my own from parts I trust.

just to let you know overclocking will void the warranty.and trying to do so on a gateway board is very untrustworthy and can cause damage
