Gateway address change

We are going to be upgrading to layer 3 switches in our network since we have maxed out our IP range. With this change I will have to change the gateway address on all our phone equipment. Which consists of an Intuity Audix, CMS server, S8510, ECAS call accounting. We currently have three C-LAN cards, MEDPRO, VAL boards, and IPSI board. By doing a list ip interface all I can see the boards and info. I assume if I do a change ip-interface plus board location I can change the gateway there? Or do I need to do it some where else? Then for the S8510 I would change that gateway by logging in to it through the web address? Then select Configure server and change the gateway under the corporate LAN interface. I assume I don't have to touch the IPSI board? When I do a change ipserver-interface it only allows me to change the IP address. I don't see anything about a gateway. Is there anything I could be missing or a different way I should be changing these?

Now how would I change the gateway address on our CMS server? We are currently on release 14 which is on an netra 210 platform. I also use external call history is there anything thing I would need to change with that? I'm guessing no since I think it routes to an IP address.

Finally can I just log into the Audix system release 5 and select TCP/IP administration then network addressing and change the gateway there? Or does it need to be done a different way?

Thanks,
T.R.

when you do your "ch ip-int xxxxxx" you need to take it out of service first by changing "enable ethernet" to "n" and hit enter.

Repeat the command and make your change then enable the port again.

You can change the audix the way you said, but I'd re-boot the audix.

If you change any of the actual ip addresses of anything you will need to change them in the "ch node-names ip" screen.

Good luck, looks like you've got a long long weekend ahead of you.

The IPSI may ver well have a default gateway, you need to SSH into it to tell:

ipsisession -c x.x.x.x (I believe that is th eproper option, this enables the IPSI for SSH, and returns the password to you)

ssh root@x.x.x.x (x.x.x.x is the IP address of your IPSI, do this from the CM shell)

When it asks for the password, give it the password that was returned with the IPSISESSION command.

now you have to use the standard IPSI commands, such as "IPSILOGIN", login as craft / craft01

now try a "show control interface" and "show control gateway" to see if you have to change anything.

I'm no expert @ CMS (I would guess at "netconfig"), as far as Audix goes, if it's a MAP5, yes you change it in the TCP/IP forms.

Thanks inerguard and Mitch672 for the help. I was able to access the IPSI card and find out what the gateway address is. Which happens to have a different gateway address. Now to get ready to change the gateway. Can't wait for that!
