I just recently re-ghosted all of my company’s laptops. A few of them are having printing problems. As they are all using the same Ghost image this is very confusing. The systems are all Dell D810, XP SP2 (Updated to August 2007) with Office XP SP3 (Updated to August 2007) and I.E.6 SP2 (update to August 2007). The printing issues have the same output problem but the causes are different.
On two Laptops directly connected to a printing an email will sort of work. The From, Sent, To and Subject titles are okay but the names are all messed up. In the body anything in bold is okay but every thing else is messed up; however the signature at the bottom is fine. Now I changed printer drivers for these two and it is working fine, but take 30 seconds per page (unacceptably slow).
One Laptop always got the garbled output from Outlook, Word or Excel, on any network printer.
The last one only gets it when printing from I.E. on any network printer.
This is a sample of the issue (sort of)the eo are run togeather and the B looks like it is printed over something else.

All I can think of is some sort of Font issue? Is there a way to restore or update all the fonts at one time? I really need a fix for this and not a work around as the people involved don't like change.
