Users have been reporting occasional stalls when they hit send button in Outlook (Collocated server and users from NY to SF). We are also running an add on product called Lettermark that has to query the GAL to determine interior or external domains for stationary so every times users hit send the GAL gets hit twice. All small offices are on T1's and server on 10M switch to Internet. Network traffic on switch never shows usage of more than 2-3M at any time.
So here's what I found:
About 100 users with average of 4 email addresses each
3500 Public Folders with one address each (I found one user with 2000 folders and was using Exchange as a personal file server!)
Anyway my question is: is there any point of difficulty with enourmouse GALs? I will move the 2000 folders into the users pst file to eliminate those addresses. Also, does anyone know if a PF is deleted, is the address also deleted?
