Currently we have One Exchange 5.5 server connect to an Exchange 2000 server via a 256k Frame relay WAN link at 21:00-22:00 every weekday and every Sunday at 18:00-17:00 via a Directory replication connector. Mail traffic is going back and forward correctly but since the remote site was upgraded to Exchange 2000 it appears that our the Global Address book synchronisation is failing. I know this as some of the entries in the GAL on Exchange 2000 server have been deleted but still show up in the GAL of the Exchange 5.5 server and some entries that have been added to the Exchange 2000 server are not showing up in the Exchange 5.5 servers GAL. I have tried forcing the replication from the Exchange 5.5 server but with no success. I have also increased the logging on all the replication type logs that I can to maximum and then forced the replication from the Exchange 5.5 server and the only error I got was:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeDS
Event Category: LDAP Interface
Event ID: 1378
Date: 19/06/2003
Time: 17:23:59
User: N/A
Computer: **********
Description:
An LDAP search result object does not have a distinguished name.
This is just a warning and not an error so I do not think it is this. I have looked on Google and MS KB but do not find anything directly relating to this.
Any hints, suggestions for resolving this would be appreciated.
Thanks
