No problems guys but there just isn't any ryme or reason to when my Nothbridge fan thermally activates!!
As I understood it, the Northbridge fan should work when internal temps reach 40C, but the fan will work from cold, sometimes for the first 20-30minutes and then turn off and remain static for hours.
Temperature doesn't seem to be an issue at all! at the moment it is a cool day, and I have an internal case temp of 35C and the fan has been spinning furiously for half an hour now, yesterday the internal temp was 41C and the fan wasn't spinning at all.
It isn't anything to do with CPU usage or general load either.
Just wondered if anyone else had this motherboard or the GA-7N400pro (nearly the same) and have any comments to offer.

Sorry guys, I meant latest F15 bios (which apparently does update fan control) not sure if they mean CPU or Northbridge, I shall read some FAQ's on their site.

Just an update:
Turned off all thermal fan controls and CPU throttling in the bios.
Read every FAQ I could find
Checked again: yes I have the latest F15 bios
It's no big deal but it would be nice to hear from others that this fan is behaving normally.
Might Email Gigabyte but then I'm never very confident about getting replies from board manufactures.
