G870 announcements

Hi,

I am planning a new network of s8300 LSP media servers.
With one main site with dual s8720's.
Each site will have its own PSTN trunks, so the WAN will be for internal calls/transfers/ signalling & voicemail.

The 8300LSP sites will be call centres using announcements.

Am I right in saying I can have announcement boards at each site. So when we configure these locations centrally on the s8720's I can define which announcement boards are used within a vector.
What I dont want is announcements to be playing across the WAN as the announcements at the main site are being used instead of local ones

Depending on the type of gateway that houses the S8300 - below are the values for timers relating to the internal announcement capacity.

Media Gateway Playback Channels Total Announcement Time
G250 6 20 minutes
G350 6 20 minutes
G700 15 20 minutes

A good way to make sure ann are played locally is to utilise audio groups.

What media gateway equipment will you be using at the remote sites? The 8300LSP is only the processor?

The gateways at each site are a pair of G700's (not as per my typo G870 in the title)
