G700 Serial port settings

Hi,

Quick one..Does anyone know the settings to connect to a g700 serial port tried 9600,8,n,1 but just got random text on the screen?

Make sure flow control is set to none.

The setting per the manual are:

Communications Properties:
9600 baud rate
no parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit
no flow control

I forgot to mention .. I got that info on page 720 of Avaya document 555-234-100 Issue 8 dated June 2005
