Hi,
I have an existing S8300/G700 server connected/supplied by Avaya UPS (AC powered).
If I purchase for a new G700 Gateway. Can I plug it to the same UPS where my existing s8300/g700 server is connected? So they will share on the Avaya UPS. Anyone there who can see if there will be problems on it. Thanks in advance

mplana2,

generally speaking, you can plug a new g700 into the same ups as the main s8300/g700, the ups itself won't burn or break. on the other hand, battery in ups is not unlimited, so putting additional load on it means less time alive without mains power.

You can get into the UPS and see the amount of runtime you have. I beleive they only set these up to have about 30 minutes of runtime. I would add an APC UPS for this next device. They are more compact with A longer runtime. APC also has a calculator to let you know what unit to buy for the Avaya device you need backed up.
