Scenario: two g700 with s8300 lsp. i'm trying to change the default ip route of 2nd g700. i changed default route of 1st without a problem. i've done this numerous times in the past.

I actually have two problems:
1) i can't change the default ip route. when i try i get an error "corrupted nffs file"
2) when i try to nvram initialize, i get an "internal system error" and can't initialize.

things i've tried:
1) upgrade firmware on mgp and voip
2) restart mgp
3) restart stack
4) power off g700
5) swapped bootfile
6) ran the install wizard and selected nvram init. it worked for first gateway, not second
7) cried a little

any help would be appreciated

Have you tried re-initializing in the P330 stack? And from there you can start the configuration all over again.

Thanks for the reply.

i did a nvram init on the p330, but nothing changed on the gateway. Is that what you mean by initialize? today i loaded new firmware on p330 to no avail

I suggest to check with your vendor, it seems there is abnormal behavior of the g700 media gateway. It's good if the warranty is still covered.

regards,

Avaya didn't want to replace on warranty or maintenance. the second day i tried, the error went away on its own. i have successfully changed the IP addresses again since this happened
