For those of you with a S8300/G700 and MM710, what are the appropriate synch settings when using the MM710 with a PRI circuit?

set synch interface ?
set synch source ?
set synch switching?

Regards,

seezer

seezer,

all three, but most significant are first two.

I have just installed a PRI in a G350 and cannot bring up the D-channel ( B-Channels are up). How do I verify thse settings in the 8300???

we get loopback adaptors with the MM710 cards we install. What does the system reports if you do a test signaling-group x ?

junipercom,

synchronization has nothing to do with d-channel, because sync works at the first level (physical) and d-channel is third level (network).
to confirm that your problem is only in logical d-channel settings, run 'test board vxx' on your mm710 module and make sure all uds1-bd tests are passed okay. if they're not, take a look at troubleshooting section in alarms guide.
if you're sure (all uds1-bd tests okay) that you have no problems with the physical and transport layers, go adjusting signaling group settings and such. the easiest method is to call your provider and ask 'em for an approved configuration.
