Analog station or analog trunk?

Analog station: TN746B (16 port) or TN793 (24 port)
Analog trunk: TN747B (8 port)

do a list config all, and see if you have any analog cards, and what lot there are in.

You want to add an anlog extension....

Find an available analog port by executing the command: list con all

If the port is used it will show a number 01, 02, etc. If it's available it will be p, t or u. If it's p or t you can TTI the port (explained below).

Execute the command: add station xxxx (where xxxx is an available extension)

or you can execute: add station next (system will choose next available extension)

Name it, make the station type 2500

Put in the available analog port number in the port field. Board number and port, ie: 01B0203 board number is 01B02 from the list con all and 03 is the available port.

Make sure it has an appropriate COR to call wherever it needs to call out to.

Then you just need to crosswire the port to the jack the phone is located.

Of if you want to TTI the phone, find an avaialable port, build a station, put X in the port field.

Crosswire the available port to the phone.

Find out what your TTI code is, execute the command: disp feat (find the page that has the Terminal Translation Initialization Merge code, mine is page 4) Let's say its 121 for this example.

Also find out if TTI is active and there is a security code set for the TTI function. Execute the command: disp sys feat (find the page that has the TTI/PSA parameters, mine is page 3) Look to see if the TTI is Enabled (should be y), TTI state should be voice and see if there is a TTI security code. (let's say its 123 for this example)

Go to the phone. Pick up the receiver. There should be dialtone if the crosswiring to the available port was done right. Dial 121 123 and the extension number you used. There should be 3 confirmation tones. Now if you go view the extension in the system it will have the port number filled in.

When you access the system press F5, what are your menu options?

Are there other administrators of the system? Your login may have been built with restrictions.
