I have been working on setting this circuit up for the better part of 2 days now.

Does anyone have a sample configuration?

I have set the circuit up just like I would on a Communication Manager system. I have a feeling my configuration is incorrect, seeing as how this is a very dated system.

HELP!!!

Thanks.

oh, the circuit pack is a tn767 and it is connected to the NetPOP via a Paradyne 3160.

crossover needed?

how do i tell? the system-parameters customer options page just says g3v4.

What is the processor? TN786 would be the i/si/vs with the flashcard. The G3R will have a disk drive, tape and The process I believe was a UN332,

all has been configured. we must be getting somewhere.

the signaling group is still out-of-service but the status of the trunk group is OOS/FE-idle.

signaling group is in-service, trunk group is OOS/FE-idle

sorry.

FE is far end so maybe they just haven't turned up the B channels yet. Call them and find out.

what protocol is the provider using?
NI1 = a protocol
NI2 = b protocol

o A = Custom or NI1. This is typically used when your T1 comes out of an AT&T
4ESS Central Office.
o B = NI2, and is typically used when your T1 comes out of a 5ESS Central Office
This is the only protocol capable of giving the customer NAME and number
Caller ID. You always prefer this protocol if the vendor can provide it!

If it's not coming up, you most likely don't match the provider.

protocol on ds1 form, trunk-group form, signal-group form

example below is NI2 (b protocol) used for name and number caller ID

# this was when all was set to "Supplementary Service Protocol: a" on the
# trunk-group and on signaling-group and "Protocol Version: a" on the ds1 form and the provider using "b" protocol will look something like this.
