I've recently had NT4 re-installed on my work-PC, but something wierd has happened.

I've lost the ability to do certain things:
* add fonts (the option doesn't appear in the Fonts <file> menu
* see the address bar in WinNT Explorer
* see the back/forward buttons in WinNT Explorer
* use the <windows><D> shortcut to view the desktop
* ...other things, which I forget

NOTE - I've got the same Service Pack, Build number and rights as before (as far as I can tell), but it looks like an older version of WinNT Explorer. One of the network administrators advised that I need to install VB_Runtime 6, but this didn't help.

Anyone come across this before?

Sounds like you previously had active desktop installed

Thanks - I'm going to try installing IE4 then.

For any interested parties - I got round the problem of no "Install New Font" option by setting the font directory with the System-attribute:

c:\winnt>attrib +s fonts
