Functional differences between Fastrad and Fastrad II? 1

I have been using a Fastrad II with NRU v10 for some time now. I have another MICS at a remote site and would like to set it up with remote NRU access.

I've been offered a Fastrad (not a 'II'). Does anyone know if there would be any issues between it and the MICS or NRU v10?

I have seen both with all versions and I have yet to encounter any issues with the RAD devices. They all work like a charm.

The FastRAD should work fine, but I have run into a few that required a firmware update.

I have a location with N* 0x32 MICS 4.1 with PRI. I have taken out 2 FastRAD's to date and can't get them to work with DID's and Target lines. They both work if someone transfers me in but I can't get them to answer on a DID directly dialed into the unit. I was told by another tech that the firmware could need updating and the problem would eliminated. Have you heard this and could that be the reason for my problem? Please explain how you update the firmware and what all has to be done? Thanks for your resonse!
