I've been creating full text indexes on several SQL server 2000 machines (running windows 2000). However recently I deleted a full text catalog, and recreated it on a table with 2 fields, and now everytime i try to populate the table it won't. It says its rebuilding, but the index remains at 0 entries.

I don't understand what's going on, i've done this a million times before, but no luck on this one machine. I've run out of things to try, any suggestions??

Hi,

You should recreate your catalog in this case, because your catalog is corrupted, even if you try to rebuild it, it won't work.

i tried deleting the catalogs, creating them with differents names and repopulating. Still no luck. I've rebooted and made sure i installed the latest patch on this machine, still nothing :(

weird.. i set up replication on this machine and made it a publisher/distributor.. but I don't think that could have messed anything up with the full text catalog on the database.. or maybe?

its driving me crazy..
