Hello everyone!
After a full reinstall (Windows, ARCServe Backup with SQL catalog) lost some backup info. I dont have the Device Group Configuration, the previously added Machine/Object from Source window and File System Devices any more.

Do U have idea where are these informations stored? In which file? I see, that FS devices are in my DB. But where is Device Group and Machine/Object?

The system is W2003 Server,BAB 11.1,SQL 2000. (Saved my DB with SQL built in Backup database function. Restored master, model, msdb and asdb.)
Greetings! Have a nice day!

Ok, if you uninstall - it will do just that.

Any custom created machine objects/links to file system devices, etc will be removed.

IIRC the File system devices themselves will remain - just re-create them thru device configuration and merge them back into the database if need be. You will need to re-add your machines back into the GUI manually.

When you re-installed you selected SQL and not default DB right ? and then you didn't select to overwrite databases when it prompted you ?

Yes, you are right. I selected SQL database (with no overwrite option). When the ARCserve install was ready, stopped services with cstop.bat. And replaced the empty SQL database with the old one.

I plan to reinstall a system, BAB 11.0 with SQL DB. Dont want to restore the old DB, because we had problems with it and quite big size (7,5 Gb). Would like to use an empty SQL one.
After newly installing BAB and SQL I will recreate the media pools, the FS devices, device group config, the jobs and have to merge the tapes before restore. Thats all what I have to do? Is there any reason to keep the old DB?
