This is the output form one of my switch interfaces - it connect to the BT 2600 series router with a fastethernet port (currently running at 10/hd)

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec, rely 255/255, load 3/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set, keepalive not set
Half-duplex, 10Mb/s, 100BaseTX/FX
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input never, output 00:00:01, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 5d22h
Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue 0/40, 0 drops; input queue 0/75, 0 drops
5 minute input rate 357000 bits/sec, 78 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 122000 bits/sec, 76 packets/sec
16860072 packets input, 30076695 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 19531 broadcasts, 190836 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 34 ignored, 0 abort
0 watchdog, 0 multicast
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
16897217 packets output, 1422797384 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 130430 collisions, 4 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 294406 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

is a full duplex connection possible on this type of router. as this would/should stop collisions? also are the number of interface resets a concern

The easiest way to find out is just go into config mode for that interface and see if it is a option . Depends on how new the card is and sometimes the IOS version but just go into config mode and check to see if it is an option . My guess is yes if this is a fast ethernet port and it will run 10 meg usually full duplex is an option . If you switch it just remember to do both ends of the connection .
