Hello,

My scenario, I am a user on a company network with only user privilages. I need to list the content (or just be able to view all) of a folder over ftp. When I use the DOS ftp prog, I can't view all the list due to it scrolling very quickly, and I can't use Internet Explorer as it seems to have different settings to access the ftp.

I was wondering whether there are any decent ftp clients out there that don't need installation (due to my access rights), and don't need java runtime.

I asked in the forum as it's a NT4 network, and I couldn't find a more appropriate forum.

Thanks

Thanks for the link, but that program looks like it needs installing. I don't have access rights to install anything.

I think my question may have changed slightly now however, after testing a little ftp prog I found, the connection couldn't be established. I was wondering why this might be? The DOS ftp prog connects fine, so does another prog on the machine, but IE and this new ftp prog will not connect.

Also, is there a way I can get the dos ftp prog to pause listing the directory (like dos dir/p) or maybe list it to a text file??

Thanks

Daint

Try this in IE. Enter your FTP URL, you might get an error if anonymous logons are disable. Once you enter the URL, click on "File" and then "Logon As". You will then need to enter your Username and Password.
