FTP virtual directories

Everything on my ftp site works fine except the virtual directories do not show up when viewing the site through IE. You can, however, type any of the VD aliases onto the end of the address, you will be prompted for ID and pass again, then you can access all files and subfolders.

They don't show up in cute either. I also can't seem to add sites (FTP or HTTP) to my machine. This is my fist site, any help would be appreciated.

make sure allow directory browsing is checked in the properties of the site in MMC

Thanks, I'll check that. I figured out why I can't add sites. This will show how new at this I am. I am just using IIS with win 2k Pro. You are only allowed limited capabilities with Pro. I really should get a book as microsoft's online product documentation never really addresses the different capabilities of IIS depending on OS.
