FTP TRANSFER WINDOWS 2000 PRO

Running an FTP get command from Windows 2000 professional. Command fails with an FTP error 451 transfer aborted: send error. When I run the same on windows 98, no problem. The error does not always occur after the same amount of data has been transferred. Also, W2000 is very slow on the transfer. Any suggestions?
