FTP timeout

I'm getting multiple FTP timeouts when I try to minimize DW and run anything else such as IE or any office app. Do you think it could be a system resource problem? Or a setup problem with Webservers FTP. I'm running a compaq laptop with 256MB Ram and 800mhz processor with DreamWeaver 4.

It could be, but I think it's more likely scenario is do to traffic or temporary problems with the server. At work, I upload large graphic files to a print breau and I frequently get timeouts. Sometimes, I reboot and things resume to normal. Other times, I just wait awhile and try again. Usually, I have success with one of the two.
