Hello,

I am connecting to my network with a Xerox machine that has scanning capabilities. You have to put the IP address of the FTP folder that you set up, but the machine only takes numeric entries. To access my FTP folders you have to type in ftp://62.89.xxx.xxx How do you set up an ftp site where you have to enter the ip address only...where it is not preceded by the ftp://

Big Thanks,
Roger

The "ftp://" is usually used in a browser like Internet Explorer to tell the browser what protocol to use. Http, ftp, etc. The Xerox already knows it is going to be using ftp. You should just have to put the ip address in. At least the Canon Imagerunners I've setup to do that just use the IP address.
